Donny Winn | Casa Colina Rehabilitation is my Temporary Home
Just to keep everyone informed. Donny is in Casa Colina Rehabilitation Center for Inpatient physical therapy. He was admitted yesterday 6/10/2009 at 6:00pm. I’m doing this post because his computer in not working at the center. We are getting him a new computer today that has wireless internet connection, so he’ll be back online soon.
Donny will receive a minimum of three hours of therapy a day six days a week. He’s spirits are high and he’s looking forward working with new therapist.
We’re not sure of his length of stay at the Rehabilitation Center? He’ll be evaluated for 7 days. After that the Doctors and therapist will give recommendations.
Please keep posting on this site. It’s the one thing that keeps his spirits up!
Love Dad.

Thanks for posting for Donny. I know many people check this site daily! Donny and the Winn family are my inspiration. I look at life differently because of the miracle that’s happened in our family. Every day, hour and minute are times for us to live life, have fun and share our stories with others. Thank you, Winn family for sharing your story and keeping us all posted. Donny’s struggle to recover HAS provided insight into all of our LIVES!!
Hey, great post, really well written. You should blog more about this. I’ll certainly be subscribing.
Donny…..I am glad everything is going good for you. I know you will do GREAT in your new rehabilitation/therapy home. Just be sure to keep us posted on all your progress & stories. I LOVE reading them.
Traumatic brain injury is a challenge that significantly impacts every member of the family, and every friend that the person with the injury has. Our family began this journey in January 2006. To say it is a long and challenging road would certainly be a gross understatement. My thoughts and prayers are with you and those who love and care for you. Thank you for sharing your walk. Enjoy each day to the fullest!! It is what it is, and there is always something good to be found in the moment, if you just let yourself seek it out.
Hey Donny,
We miss you at the gym already but we know you are going to be even better after this latest procedure. Show them how hard you can work and make sure you are as polite to your therapists at Casa Colina as you are to us at the club, (ha!, ha!) Hurry back too… How else can we get your Dad to lift more weight unless you’re there to “egg” him on? Show them all you got because we know it’s a LOT!! Lots of Love and best wishes, Wilma:)
Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)
